There’s nothing scary
you’ve seen your sleeping father so many times
but you’ll see him like this only once


MOMCHIL MILANOV was born in 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He holds master’s degrees in public international law from the University of Strasbourg, and in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. In the last thirteen years, he has worked in various international organizations and institutions in Paris, Geneva, The Hague, Sofia and Brussels. His first novel, The Ministry of Dreams, was published in 2021. The novel received the National Literary Prize ‘Feather’ (2022). A French edition of the novel was published by Les Argonautes in August 2025, translated by Marie Vrinat under the title Le ministère des rêves.
